Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman today joined Tunnel To Towers Foundation Senior Vice President Gavin Naples, former Congressman Anthony D’Esposito, New York State Senator Patricia Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick, and many other Nassau County, Town of Hempstead, and local officials to kickstart an initiative that will create additional residential units for local veterans in Island Park.

Following a press conference at the Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building in Mineola, County Executive Blakeman officially signed the deed of the Long Beach Motor Inn over to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation – an organization that builds mortgage-free homes for fallen first responder families, smart homes for injured veterans, and housing for veterans in need.
