LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville man said he went in "full panic mode" after he discovered he won $250,000 on a Kentucky Lottery scratch-off.
The man, who wished to remain anonymous, stopped at the Circle K, located at 5035 Mud Lane, after work to buy his weekly lottery games.
He said he was pretty sure he won the game's top prize when he scanned the ticket in the store. He had matched the number 33 on the top row to win $250,000.
“I was like full panic mode,” he said to lottery officials.
He said he immediately went home to tell his wife the news.
“I said this is a really big ticket. I said I don't know how much it is, but I think it might be the top prize,” he said.
Once his wife confirmed they won big, they started jumping up and down. Then they decided what to do next.
