A Chief Judicial Magistrate court on Tuesday acquitted Punjab AAP MLA and former Cabinet minister Anmol Gagan Maan, along with three others, in a four-year-old case related to assault on police personnel and obstruction in government duty.
The Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chandigarh , Sachin Yadav, acquitted Maan, Sunny Ahluwalia (AAP’s Chandigarh in-charge), Rajwinder Gill, and Arshdeep Singh .
The case dates back to August 4, 2021, when the AAP leaders had attempted to protest and gherao the BJP office in Sector 37, Chandigarh. Police intervened to prevent the protest from escalating, which led to a clash between AAP workers and police personnel, leaving some officers injured.
