Bristol college evacuated as police swoop on campus
A college campus in Bristol has been evacuated while police attend an ongoing incident.
Staff and students were asked to leave St Brendan’s Sixth Form College on Broomhill Road, Brislington , this afternoon (November 4) while officers carry out enquiries.
The nature of the incident is not yet clear, but Avon and Somerset Police have said there are no reports of any injuries.
They added that it is working to ensure the safety and well-being of staff and students.
Broomhill Road has been closed in both directions to allow emergency services to attend the incident.
Pictures and footage from the scene show several police vehicles entering and exiting the campus, with officers in the area.
