A major train accident took place near Lalkhadan in Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur district on Tuesday (November 4, 2025), around 4 pm. At least eight people were killed in the incident, while over 15 were injured after a passenger train collided head-on with a goods train. According to initial reports, a MEMU train rammed into a freight train near the Jairamnagar station.
Videos from the accident spot showed the train No. 68733 (Gevara Road–Bilaspur) MEMU Local’s first coach mounted on the goods train due to the collision. Locals were seen gathered near the site while authorities continued the rescue operations.
