BEMIDJI — The Bemidji City Council revisited two road projects for 2026 during Monday's meeting and passed both with an extended assessment fee window to ease the financial burden on residents.

The first project includes five streets — Hannah Avenue NW, Norton Avenue NW, 14th Street NW, Taft Avenue NE and Mill Street NE — and the second solely focuses on Park Avenue NW.

The council first examined the two projects during an Oct. 20 meeting. Here, some residents spoke against the assessment fee applied to the project following the devastating June windstorm. This led the council to delay a vote to see how it could ease the financial burden on residents.
