Torun (Poland), Nov 4 (UNI) Australian actor and filmmaker Joel Edgerton is set to receive the Actor’s award in this year’s Camerimage International Film Festival, scheduled to run from November 15 to 22 in Torun, Poland.
Born in Blacktown, New South Wales, Edgerton began his artistic journey on stage before making his television debut in “The Secret Life of Us”, a role that earned him the AACTA Award for Best Actor in a Television Drama. He went on to garner international acclaim with his gripping turn in David Michôd’s “Animal Kingdom” (2010), followed by appearances in George Lucas’s “Star Wars” prequels, which introduced him to global audiences.
