US President Donald Trump on Tuesday said that any Jewish voter who supports New York mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani is “stupid" and warned that the city could face severe consequences if Mamdani is elected.

Trump, who has endorsed former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo running as an independent, posted on Truth Social: “Any Jewish person that votes for Zohran Mamdani, a proven and self professed JEW HATER, is a stupid person!!!"

On the eve of the election, Trump cautioned voters that New York City would become a “complete and total economic and social disaster" under a Mamdani administration, claiming the city’s very survival was at stake.

The US President also threatened to withhold federal funds from New York City if Mamdani wins the Tuesday election.
