President Donald Trump continues to see largely negative ratings as the federal government shutdown appears set to break records yet again.
The federal government shutdown continued into day 35 on Tuesday, Nov. 4, and without an imminent deal, may roll into day 36 on Wednesday, Nov. 5, USA TODAY reported, making it the longest shutdown in U.S. history — surpassing a 35-day shutdown during Trump's first term.
The shutdown and its perceived impact on the U.S. economy remained at the forefront of Americans' minds ahead of Election Day, Nov. 4, recent polls show. Across several polls, Trump got disapproval ratings in the 50-percentage range, reaching as high as 63% disapproval in a recent CNN poll.
Let's take a closer look at how several surveys break down opinions of the president.
