Noteworthy: The freshman libero had six aces and 14 digs to lead Long Beach Poly to a 3-0 victory over San Marcos in the quarterfinals of the CIF-SS Division 2 playoffs on Oct. 29. Poly lost 3-0 to Santa Margarita in the Division 2 semifinals but earned a trip to the CIF State playoffs. Those brackets will be announced Sunday.
