The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit will hear arguments in January against a ruling blocking the display of the Ten Commandments in some Texas classrooms.

The decision comes after a federal judge blocked the display in 11 school districts in August.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton called the Ten Commandments a "cornerstone of America's moral and legal heritage."
