MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Collierville Police arrested a convicted felon who was accused of being involved in multiple thefts and possessing drugs on Monday.

CPD's Special Enforcement unit saw a vehicle that was connected to multiple thefts in the area.

They said that they conducted an investigative stop in the Walmart parking lot.

Police said the suspect attempted to leave, and officers prevented the person from escaping.

According to police, they identified the driver as a convicted felon. Police seized over $700 in cash, a handgun, ammunition, and narcotics, including cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl.
