The Boston Celtics were looking to survive yet another late-game test, this time against the Utah Jazz. Jaylen Brown tried his best to keep Boston in the game, but Utah’s youth ultimately surprised the Celtics, leaving them with disbelief as they lost the game 105-103 on a crucial hook shot from Jazz center Jusuf Nurkic. However, all eyes were drawn to the play preceding it, one whose potential no-call perhaps decided the outcome of tonight’s matchup.
In the final seconds of the contest, Jazz guard Keyonte George slipped while attempting to guard Brown, causing him to crash to the floor and lose possession of the ball. However, no whistle was heard. The referees opted not to call a foul on the possession, and after gaining control of the ball, Utah used the fastbreak to take the lead.
