HUNTINTON PARK, Calif. (KABC) -- A robbery suspect who led police on an erratic and dangerous chase was taken into custody after he crashed into an innocent family's sedan at a Huntington Park intersection Tuesday morning.
The pursuit started around 11:13 a.m. The suspect is suspected of being involved in a robbery or burglary in downtown Los Angeles, police said. However, the Los Angeles Police Department didn't provide additional details about the crime.
AIR7 was over the chase as the white SUV sped down Gage Avenue, blowing through intersections and driving into oncoming traffic - all at speeds of up to 80 mph.
The suspect hit several other cars before he sideswiped the innocent driver in a Honda sedan at Malabar Street. Both cars came to a stop against a fence near Middleton Street
