Flags in Ohio will be lowered to half-staff to honor former Vice President Dick Cheney , who died Nov. 3 at age 84.
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, who served with Cheney in Congress, ordered state and U.S. flags on public properties lowered until Nov. 13
The governor offered condolences to the Cheney family.
"I first got to know him when we were members of Congress together and he was in the House Republican leadership. He was thoughtful, steady, and an advocate for his beloved Wyoming," DeWine said in a statement issued Nov. 4.
