BALTIMORE —

The Orioles didn't waist any time improving the team after they announced their new manager on Tuesday , making a trade for a familiar face to help the bullpen.

They are trading for former reliever Andrew Kittredge, who they signed last off season but traded away to the Chicago Cubs at this season's trade deadline. The 35-year-old reliver returns to the team in exchange for cash considerations and adds a much needed arm to depleted bullpen.

Kittredge was solid for both the Orioles and Cubs last season finishing with a 3.40 earned run average in 54 games pitched between both teams. He served as the Orioles set-up man last year and could be asked to fill in at closer while Félix Bautista recovers from shoulder surgery.
