The wife of a man killed in a motorcycle crash on the Garden State Parkway last spring has filed a lawsuit against a bar in Bergen County, claiming her husband was served alcohol even after he became visibly drunk.
Harry Torella, 53, of Verona, was drinking at The Orange Lantern in Paramus on June 7, before he was involved in a fatal crash on the Garden State Parkway in Clifton, according to the suit filed Oct. 24 in Superior Court of Essex County.
Torella died on June 18 at St. Joseph’s University Hospital in Paterson, according to his obituary.
“While at The Orange Lantern, (Torella) purchased alcoholic beverages and became visibly intoxicated,” states the suit, filed on behalf of his widow, Robin Torella.
