A 19-year-old woman was arrested in connection with a September hit-and-run crash that resulted in the death of a bicyclist in Central El Paso.
Officers arrested Vivian Rose Padilla of El Paso on Monday, Nov. 3, on one count of collision involving death, El Paso Police Department spokesman Officer Adrian Cisneros said in a news release.
No attorney for Padilla is named in court records.
Padilla is charged in the Sept. 7 crash that resulted in the death of 52-year-old David Carmine O’Connor of El Paso. O’Connor was riding his bicycle about 1:38 a.m. on Pershing Drive near Leeds Avenue when he was struck from behind by a 2017 Kia Soul, the news release states.
The collision caused O’Connor to be thrown from the bike. The news release states that the Kia driver did not render aid and
