OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) - The food service provider for the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh announced that it will be ending its contract with the school, leading to over 150 layoffs.

According to a letter to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD), Elior, Inc. is ending the contract, and the layoffs will be permanent. The letter was also addressed to Oshkosh Mayor Matt Mugerauer.

The letter, dated November 3, 2025, said that 155 employees will be impacted, all of whom have been notified of the decision, which is permanent.

Elior, Inc. says layoffs are expected to begin on May 17, 2026, with the majority of the affected employees being student workers, cooks and food service workers.
