WEST BEND, Wis. (WFRV) - A Wisconsin man was arrested after allegedly admitting to 'disposing' of multiple cats because of not being able to afford to feed them.

According to the West Bend Police Department, on November 2 around 12:30 p.m., it received a call about dead cats found in a dumpster. An investigation reportedly showed a 26-year-old man had placed eight cats in a sealed plastic container.

The man then allegedly placed it by a dumpster. Authorities say seven cats were found dead, and one was still alive.

The cat was then brought to an emergency veterinary clinic.

It was mentioned that the man and his girlfriend had 11 cats total in the residence. The woman was out of town and came home to find out the man had admitted to getting rid of the cats. He reportedly said they could
