MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile city officials are planning to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the first houses that were built through a new city housing program.
According to a city news release, the Housing Improvement Project is planning to build 30 affordable homes within 30 blocks of the historic Campground area.
Three homes have already been built through the project, with the first home being purchased by a Mobile Police Department officer, according to the release.
