New plans for another Star Trek movie have been revealed in a Paramount report, confirming in what direction the franchise is heading next. The Star Trek movies have always been a prominent part of the larger sci-fi story's timeline. However, the latest theatrical release came in 2016 with Star Trek: Beyond , the series moving into a TV show focus ever since.
