LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — You just saw "The Wizard of Oz" at Sphere, and you loved it. How long will you have to wait for the next showstopper?

Locals might not like the answer, but the constant churn of 40 million tourists coming to Las Vegas could mean that Sphere will be packing in "Oz" crowds for a very long time. Executive Chairman and CEO James L. Dolan is even talking about a 2.0 version that might create even more demand for the show.

"We might just take you for a ride on a witch's broom during the show," Dolan hinted during Sphere Entertainment Co.'s third-quarter earnings call. The 2.0 version would debut on Aug. 28, 2026, a year after the show opened at Sphere.
