BUCKEYE LAKE, Ohio — A man who shot and killed another man at a Buckeye Lake bar earlier this year was sentenced to 21 years to life in prison on Tuesday.

Richard Lindgren , 59, was previously indicted on one count of aggravated murder, two counts of murder, one count of felonious assault and one count of tampering with evidence, as well as two counts of firearm-related specifications. He previously pleaded not guilty to those charges, but pleaded guilty to the aggravated murder charge on Tuesday. The rest of the charges were dropped.

Lindgren fatally shot 42-year-old Benjamin Hawk. Deputies with the Licking County Sheriff’s Office were called to Louie's Corner House on July 11 for a report of a shooting.
