COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Columbus neighborhood is in disbelief after police said two teenagers are charged in connection to the death and burial of an infant.
Matthew Buffington said he can’t stop staring at the yellow caution tape surrounding his next-door neighbor’s home.
"I was absolutely shocked. I was not expecting it,” Buffington said.
According to a Columbus Division of Police report, a 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy are charged with involuntary manslaughter and abuse of a corpse. The same police report also revealed the teenage parents told officers they hid the pregnancy. When the baby died, they then buried the child.
