AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Augusta commissioners discussed adding a moratorium on evictions and water shut-offs during the pause on SNAP benefits at their meeting Tuesday afternoon.

The Golden Harvest Food Bank addressed commissioners, saying about 20,000 people in Richmond County lost food aid.

Representatives said they are looking at a two-to-three-month crisis minimum, even if SNAP is restored soon.
