Los Angeles Chargers acquiring Trevor Penning in trade with New Orleans Saints

The Los Angeles Chargers have made a last-minute trade for an offensive lineman.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter , the Chargers are acquiring offensive lineman Trevor Penning in a trade with the New Orleans Saints . Schefter adds that the Saints are getting a 2027 sixth-round pick in return.

"Deadline deal: Saints are trading OL Trevor Penning to the Chargers, per source," Schefter reported.

The Chargers were in desperate need of tackle help in the wake of season-ending injuries to Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt, so this trade makes total sense.
