CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — A heads up if you're planning on shopping at the Walden Galleria on Wednesday.

The mall will conduct its fourth and final security lockdown drill of the year on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 10:15 a.m.

The drill, which is conducted in partnership with Cheektowaga Police, is designed to show mall employees proper training in the event of an emergency.

Lockdown drills are held quarterly to establish clear safety procedures and ensure preparedness among employees and security.

A public address announcement will alert employees and shoppers that an emergency drill is taking place. The drill is expected to last about 15 minutes and will occur during regular mall hours.

Mall visitors are encouraged to continue shopping as normal during the exercise.
