KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - A suspect connected to a homicide in Kansas City, Missouri, was arrested across state lines on Tuesday after an hours-long armed standoff.
The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department said officers were dispatched just after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday to a home in the 1400 block of Oakland Avenue.
There, a caller told police an armed man was inside of a home holding his adult son hostage at gun point.
KCKPD said negotiators were able to get the man to release his son from the home and at approximately 1:46 p.m. the Special Operations Unit entered the home and took the man into custody without an incident.
Police said the man was arrested on multiple felony charges and is wanted in connection to a murder in Kansas City, Missouri.
