New Orleans Pelicans star forward Zion Williamson will miss multiple games while dealing with a grade 1 left hamstring injury, the Pelicans announced on Tuesday.
The Pelicans say that he'll miss at least the next seven-10 days before being re-evaluated. The Pelicans are scheduled to play six games over the next 10 days.
This is the fourth consecutive year Williamson has missed time due to a hamstring injury.
Williamson missed the Pelicans' game against the Boston Celtics with a left foot bone contusion. He suffered that injury while landing on another player's foot during a putback dunk against the San Antonio Spurs in the Pelicans' home opener.
The two-time NBA All-Star has averaged 22.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.6 assists through his first five games this season.
