WASHINGTON — A man is in the hospital recovering from a gunshot wound.
On Tuesday, deputies from the Prince George's County Office of the Sheriff went to the 500 block of Main Street, Laurel, to execute a scheduled eviction. When deputies arrived, they reported hearing gunfire from inside the home.
Deputies withdrew and called the occupant of the home. During this time, members of the Prince George's County Office of the Sheriff Specialized Service Team (SST) entered the home and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Deputies found a weapon nearby and began administering life-saving measures. First responders arrived at the scene and took the victim to a local hospital.
