October 18, 1969 – October 30, 2025

With deep sorrow, we share that Murray quietly and peacefully slipped from this world to the next on October 30, 2025.

He was a doting father, beloved son, loving brother, and fun uncle. His circle also included aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and colleagues.

Murray was born in Fort Hope, Ontario, in the home of his Gogo and Choomish Waboose, delivered by traditional midwife Ellen Waboose. He was the youngest son and the second youngest of five children. Murray spent his early years in Fort Hope, on the family’s traditional lands of Miminiska and Pickle Lake, before moving with his family to Sioux Lookout in 1973.There, he grew up and attended school through Grade 12.
