A Jacksonville man suffered severe injuries, including a broken femur and facial trauma, when a car hit his electric minibike on Friday at the intersection of Plymouth Street and Cassat Avenue.
Surveillance video from a nearby business captured the moments Quantez Sirmons was riding his minibike home from work when he collided with a car.
“My whole life is shattered standing here,” Harold Sirmons, Quantez’s father, said.
He reported sleepless nights since the crash, deeply concerned about his son’s extensive injuries.
“He has a broken femur, he has the lower part of his leg broken, he has a big laceration where his bone is hanging out of his left leg and his face is split down the middle,” Harold said.
Harold said Quantez recently began speaking again, but said doctors are monitoring
