HOUSTON — Election Day is underway across Texas, and Harris County election officials say there have been no big bumps in the road at polling places.
"No major issues. Anything that needed to be addressed, we always have techs in the field to do that in a pretty quick timeframe," Harris County Clerk & Chief Elections Officer Teneshia Hudspeth said.
By 5 p.m., more than 164,000 people had voted today in Harris County.
Dozens of people at election headquarters are ready to count the votes once they're delivered from 600 polling places after polls close at 7 p.m.
Staff from the Secretary of State's office and representatives from both Republican and Democratic parties will be on hand to make sure it's done properly.
