It may be the offseason, but the Emporia FC Black Lions have made some changes for the next season. Looking to continue growing, they will be joining the League for Clubs for the 2026 season. To go alongside joining a new league, Emporia FC also partnered with Kiss 103.1 FM to bring their games to the airwaves for the 2026 season.
The League for Clubs is a new league, founded in 2024, focused on building up a more equitable landscape within soccer. The League is partnered with the Women’s Premier Soccer League and the United States Adult Soccer Association, which gives them a path to the U.S. Open Cup.
One of those owners, Sonny Dalesandro, owner of Tulsa Athletic, was in Emporia for the announcement of Emporia FC coming into The League for Clubs. He shared how much the league grew in it
