Chris Davies hailed the variety of Birmingham City’s goals in their second 4-0 rout in the space of four days.

Blues’ thumping of Portsmouth on Saturday was a set piece masterclass but they carved Millwall open on Tuesday with free-flowing football.

Paik Seung-ho, Demarai Gray, Alex Cochrane and Jay Stansfield netted for Blues as St Andrew’s enjoyed another goal-fest.

“I think it was another good performance,” said manager Davies. “Millwall are a really solid team.

“I saw them a lot in the build-up to this match and I was aware that they are quite energetic defensively and they are good at pressing – solid and well organised. To score four goals and get a clean sheet was exceptional.
