Quebecers eligible for a free COVID-19 shot may have to wait before getting vaccinated.
A shortage of vaccine doses is delaying appointment bookings since the province’s vaccination campaign launched last month, a spokesperson for the Association québécoise des pharmaciens propriétaires (AQPP) said.
“There have indeed been delivery delays to pharmacies for vaccine doses reserved for patients eligible for free vaccination,” AQPP spokesperson Marilie Beaulieu-Gravel wrote in an email to The Gazette.
Nearly one month into the campaign, some pharmacies still do not have vaccination appointments available or have no availability until the end of November, according to the Clic Santé online scheduler .
