ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Voters in Anderson County are deciding whether they’ll approve or reject a one percent sales tax proposal county leaders said will fund much-needed road improvements.
This is the third time Anderson County voters are deciding if they want to support or deny the proposed one-percent sales tax. Voters said they were either on the fence about the plan or completely against it.
“If [county leaders] do what they say they’re going to do, it would be positive, but I believe a lot of road construction staff are people who can write grants and get money from the federal government,” said Vincent Edwards, a long-time Anderson County voter.
