MANCHESTER, N.H. —

As the government shutdown ties a record for longest shutdown in history, some federal workers have been sent home or have been working without pay for weeks.

One employee from New England said she's frustrated and, like many other federal workers, just wants to get back to work.

According to the Bipartisan Policy Center, at least 670,000 federal employees are furloughed, and about 730,000 others are working without pay.

Stephanie Hebert is originally from Haverhill, Massachusetts, but she grew up around New Hampshire, where her mother lives. She works as a wildlife biologist for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Utah and was furloughed at the start of the shutdown.
