The Denver Broncos reportedly made a strong push for Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle before Tuesday’s trade deadline.

According to a report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the AFC West-leading Denver Broncos were among the teams that contacted the Dolphins about a potential trade for Jaylen Waddle.

Schultz added that teams found the asking price for Waddle to be “too high.”

Connor Hughes of SNY also reported that the Dolphins wanted a first-round pick and more for Waddle, who signed a lucrative three-year contract extension worth $84.75 million last year.
