POST FALLS, Idaho — The City of Post Falls announced it has approved a new Parks and Recreation Director.

The city will appoint Kris Ammerman as the next Parks and Recreation Director for Post Falls. The current director, Dave Fair, will be retiring at the beginning of 2026 after being in the position for nearly 30 years.

Ammerman is expected to start employment in December, then become the director on Jan. 1, 2026.

Ammerman is a certified Arborist and Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP). He is currently the Parks and Recreation Director for Wilsonville, Oregon.

According to the city's press release, the city began the recruitment process in early 2025, with the search being conducted by Prothman, a professional recruitment firm.
