New Heights CCDA has already passed the goal in a fundraiser for its Community Food Network.

We reported last week that New Heights was seeking $10,000 to unlock a matching grant from the Frederick S. Upton Foundation to raise a total of $20,000. Director Chris Britton tells us the community came through in a big way.

“ I wasn’t even certain if we were going to be able to raise the $10 ,000 in total at all, and we did it in a week,” Britton said. “ It was unbelievable.”

Britton says with the money raised, 20 additional households can be added to the Community Food Network, bringing its total to 90.
