LIV Golf will transition to a traditional 72-hole, four-day tournament format beginning with the 2026 season, abandoning its signature 54-hole structure that has defined the breakaway league since its inception.
The Saudi-backed golf circuit announced Tuesday that it will extend competitions to include Thursdays, moving away from the Friday-to-Sunday schedule it has employed. Officials described the shift as reflecting the organization’s “global momentum and evolution to deliver more action and entertainment for fans.”
