BATON ROUGE — It didn't take long for LSU president Wade Rousse to start making moves in his new position.

Rousse has decided to move LSU executive deputy athletic director Verge Ausberry into the full-time AD role, sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to The Daily Advertiser. A formal announcement is expected in the coming days.

Ausberry has already been serving as i nterim LSU athletics director after the university and former AD Scott Woodward parted ways late last week. In Ausberry's interim capacity, LSU administrators and board members already tapped the longtime LSU athletics administrator to lead the department's search for its next head football coach.
