BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WBOY) — As the weather turns colder and the holiday season approaches, the United Way and Jenkins Subaru in Bridgeport have come together to hold a food drive for those in need.
Non-perishable food items can be dropped off at Jenkins Subaru, which has been donating food as it comes in directly to partners of the United Way who have expressed a high need.
Martin Hower, the executive director of the United Way of Harrison and Doddridge Counties, spoke with 12 News about how helping the community embraces the mountaineer spirit.
“West Virginians definitely help West Virginians. They come out and support in any way they can their fellow West Virginians and it's no different here for Harrison County and Doddridge County,” Howe said.
