SALT LAKE CITY — A West Valley man is facing criminal charges accusing him of paying a teenage girl he met on Snapchat for sex.
Moses Corrales, 29, was charged Tuesday in 3rd District Court with human trafficking for sexual exploitation, a second-degree felony, and unlawful sexual activity with a minor, a third-degree felony.
The investigation began when a girl contacted police and said she had met Corrales on Snapchat when she was 15.
"She described that she met with Corrales at a park in Salt Lake County and had sex with him in the back seat of his car … and once he was done, he sent her $300," according to charging documents. "(She also) sent Corrales nude photographs for money."
Prosecutors have requested that Corrales be held in the Salt Lake County Jail without the possibility of
