Oregon debuted in the top 10 of this year’s College Football Playoff rankings.
The Ducks (7-1, 4-1 Big Ten) are No. 9, lower than their No. 6 ranking in the AP and coaches polls, in this week’s CFP rankings.
Oregon does not have a win over a ranked team, though three of its four remaining opponents are ranked.
“Oregon, when you look at them in the top 10, are lowest ranked in terms of record strength,” CFP selection committee chair and Baylor athletic Mack Rhoades said on ESPN. “The committee had a lot of conversation — rigorous debate — conversation about Oregon as a team.
