President Donald Trump is reviving his nomination for billionaire Jared Isaacman to lead the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
Trump announced the renomination on Tuesday evening via his Truth Social platform, describing Isaacman as “an accomplished business leader, philanthropist, pilot, and astronaut” who is “ideally suited to lead NASA into a bold new Era.”
Why It Matters
In May, Trump withdrew his support for Isaacman following a public fallout with Tesla CEO Elon Musk . Isaacman, a close associate of Musk, later suggested in a podcast interview that his removal may have been intended as retaliation against the billionaire amid the highly publicized dispute with the president.
