CHARLOTTE (WNCN) — The new-look Duke men's basketball team opens the 2025-2026 season Monday night in the Queen City.
The Blue Devils, ranked No. 6 in the preseason AP Top 25 poll, are set to face the Texas Longhorns in the Dick Vitale Invitational Tuesday night. Tip off at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte is scheduled for 8:45 p.m.
The entire starting five of last year's Duke squad that reached the Final Four was drafted into the NBA in June, including Cooper Flagg at No. 1. But the Blue Devils have yet another stellar recruiting class, highlighted by national Gatorade Male Athlete of the Year Cameron Boozer and his twin brother Cayden, who are the sons of former Duke and NBA standout Carlos Boozer.
Texas finished last season with a 19-16 overall record. The Longhorns' postseason ended
