DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Full Beaver Moon will be visible in central North Carolina on Tuesday night. This is the second of three supermoons in 2025.
Supermoons are full moons that appear larger and brighter than usual because of the moon being at its closest point to Earth in its orbit, according to NASA.
Peak illumination of this supermoon is expected Wednesday morning at 8:10. Obviously, the sun will be up by then, so Tuesday night is your best chance to see it.
With clear skies expected overnight, you should have no trouble seeing the full moon.
The next and final supermoon of 2025 will be visible on Dec. 4.
